Gyokuro translates as "jade drop" and is the most noble tea variety from Japan.
To produce it, the tea bushes are covered (shaded) with bamboo mats for a fortnight before harvesting. The resulting reduced photosynthesis ensures a unique aroma.
Green tea Japan Gyokuro Mikoto is one of the finest Gyokuros in Japan. Only the most delicate leaves of the first days of spring are picked and processed.
