Product information "Japan Buddha Ama Cha"

It is used during the Kan-butsee or Buddha bathing ceremony held annually on April 8 (Buddha's birthday in Japan).

Amacha is made from a species of hydrangea (ajisai) called Hydrangea Serrata, which is common in the mountains of South Korea and Japan. It can be distinguished from the ornamental hydrangea variety Hydrangea macrophylla. Hydrangea paniculata also belongs to the hydrangea family, but it is addictive. This species is also often confused with Gynostemma pentaphyllum (Jiao Gu Lan - China) from the genus Cucurbitaceae.

Application:
Pour 1.5 to 2 grams of Amacha over about 800 ml to 1 liter of boiling water, let the tea steep and drink throughout the day.
