Bancha tea is a traditional Japanese green tea for everyday use. It contains up to 70% less caffeine than other teas.
For the production of Bancha, the fresh buds and leaves are not used, but the slightly riper leaves. As a result, the tea contains a soft flavour with a delicate underlying gentleness. Because of the high content of minerals, it is an alkaline food.
