White Monkey is an exquisite white tea from the high mountains of Fujian Province. It grows on such steep slopes that it has to be harvested by monkeys. This tea has many leaf buds with white down and is produced by careful leaf selection with silvertips and gentle processing. The total annual production of this tea is very small, it can only be harvested in April (first flush).
According to a study by the University of Munich, white tea protects against skin damage caused by sunlight.
