Amber Oolong is a tea speciality from the golden triangle in Thailand. Here, the highest quality tea bushes from Taiwan (Formosa) were cultivated, whose teas enjoy the highest reputation around the world.
Thailand Amber Oolong comes from the mountain region around Doi Mae Salong. It grows at altitudes of up to 1,800 m. The leaf is fermented only very briefly, then rolled tightly and pressed into balls. In the cup it glows like saffron.
